Meet the creators of Christensen's Haunted Hollows

We are Karen and Blake Christensen, creators of Christensen's Haunted Hollows.
Karen is the mastermind behind most of the build, design and detail. Together with Blake, she loves building props. Karen has always had a love for Halloween and the spookiness that surrounds it, but she doesn't like the blood, guts, and gore. She aims to make her haunt spooky, but still family-friendly. Early on, because our first home didn't have much of a porch or yard, Karen made indoor decorations for Halloween. Since moving to Riverton twenty-two years ago, we've begun setting up an outdoor walk-through display, with new additions each year. Karen is an artist and really enjoys fine-tuning the details to set the scene for each prop - it's important that they have the nighttime appeal and look good in the daytime as well!
In 2012, we were introduced to the Rocky Mountain Haunters and our display has never been the same since. Then, our props became bigger and better, and more lifelike with motorized movements. We have gleaned so much knowledge from the various members of this club and consider many of them to be very close friends. Each brings a specific skill set to share with the rest of the group. After joining this club, Blake finally took an interest in the building of the props and, as the saying goes, "the rest is history!" They make a great building team.  This has been a 22 year work-in-progress and is definitely a Labor of Love.
